Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Poznań City Hall invite you for an open lecture by Prof. Robert Krimmer. The lecture entitled "Internet Voting. Building an E-Democracy for the 21st Century" will take place on April 5th, 2017 (Wednesday) at 13:15 in room 120 at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Journalism of Adam Mickiewicz University at Umultowska 89a.

Professor Robert Krimmer works at the Ragnar Nurkse School of Innovation and Governance at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Technology in Tallinn (Estonia). His research interest focuses on the issues of electronic participation and democracy, evolution of the public sector and development of digital society. Prof. Krimmer is a member of the expert team of the Committee on Electronic Voting at the Council of Europe (Council of Europe Ad-Hoc Committee on Electronic Voting (CAHVE)) where he is currently working on recommendations about legal, technical and practical standards of e-voting.

Professor Robert Krimmer is a member of the expert team of the Committee on Electronic Voting at the Council of Europe (Council of Europe Ad-Hoc Committee on Electronic Voting (CAHVE)) where he is currently working on recommendations on legal, technical and practical standards of e-voting. Before that, he was working at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) as a senior advisor on new voting techniques.

He teaches courses in the area of e-administration, e-voting, e-participation and voting. He gave lectures at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg, at the University of Krems, and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He is a member of the editorial staff of the international journal called Government Information Quarterly.

Prof. Krimmer is the author of more than 100 scientific articles whose number of quotations amounts to more than 650 (Hirsh index according to Google Scholar 13).
