The Poznań University of Economics and the City of Poznań have the pleasure to invite you to a lecture by an outstanding economist, Prof.Claude Diebolt, entitled"Labour Market Adjustments in the Long Run. Are there Cliometric Findings for the Guidance of the Educational Policy in Poland?". The lecture (in English) will be held on 23 May at 12.00 p.m. - 2.00 p.m. in the Hall of the Poznań University of Economics, at 10 Niepodległości Street.
Prof.Claude Diebolt of the University of Strasbourg is the Chairman of the French Cliometric Association.
Prof. Claude DIEBOLT (born on26 February 1967) is a prominent French economist serving as Research Directorat the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and the Director of the Bureau d'Economie Théorique et Appliquée (BETA, UMR 7522) at the University of Strasbourg (2009-2012).
Prof. Claude Diebolt is the Founding President of the Association Française de Cliométrie.Currently he serves as the Founding Managing Editor of Cliometrica (Springer Verlag).He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Cliometric Society and a member of the Governing Board of Association Française de Science Economique. He also teaches cliometrics at the HumboldtUniversity in Berlin and the University of Strasbourg.
Before moving to Strasbourg, Prof.Claude Diebolt had been a Deputy Director (1998-2002) and then the Director (2003-2004) at Laboratoire Montpelliérain d'Economie Théorique et Appliquée (LAMETA, UMR 5474 CNRS) at the University of Montpellier I.
He received a research scholarship: European Union - Stimulation Plan for Economic Science (1992-1994) and was awarded for the best PhD thesis defended at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montpellier I (1994). He was also awarded a research scholarship in the field of cliometrics by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (1999-2001) and was a winner of the very prestigious French Grand Prix Jean Fourastié in the field of economics (2002).
Since January 2013, he has been a scholar at the University of Strasbourg, Institute for Advanced Study (USIAS).The results of cliometric research conducted by Prof. Claude DIEBOLT have been published in 30 books and over 100 articles in scientific journal such asAmerican Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Macroeconomics, Cliometrica, Explorations in Economic History, Historical Social Research / An International Journal for the Application of Formal Methods to History, the Review of International Economics, Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, the European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, etc.
Prof.Claude Diebolt's papers have been translated into the following languages:English, Chinese, Czech, Spanish and German.
