Prof. Anne Peters (Germany) - 21.11.2023

Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the City of Poznań wish to invite you to an open lecture by Prof. Anna Peters, titled "The Russian invasion in Ukraine: An anti-constitutional moment in international law". The lecture will take place on 21 November at 16:00 in the Prof. Z. Ziembiński auditorium, Collegium Iuridicum Novum, Al. Niepodległości 53 in Poznań.

Professor Anne Peters is one of the most respected specialists in international law. She currently serves as Director of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany. She is also a Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration. In the past, she was also a member of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission).

She served as President of the European Association of International Law (2010-2012) and on the governing boards of various academic associations such as the German Association of Constitutional Law (VDStRL) and the Association for International Constitutional Law (ICON S). President of the German Association of International Law (DGIR) until 2023.

She has authored and co-authored hundreds of publications in the fields of public international law, legal history, humanitarian constitutionalism law and animal rights.
