Prof. Leslie Valiant (USA) 20.09.2018

The Faculty of Information Technology at the Poznan University Of Technology and the City of Poznań invite you to the open lecture entitled What Needs to be Added to Machine Learning?, which will be given by Professor Leslie Valiant. The lecture will start at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, 20th September 2018 r. in the Aula Magna of the Lecture and Conference Centre of the Poznan University of Technology (2 Piotrowo street).

Professor Valiant is the author of the foundations for the computing theory (e.g. Valiant-Vazirani theorem, #P-completeness, PAC machine learning model), Harvard University professor and the Turing Prize laureate in 2010 (so-called IT Nobel Prize). He is also the laureate of such prestigious prizes as: the European Association of Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) Award (2008), Kuth Prize for outstanding contributions to the foundations of computer science (1997) or Nevanlinna Prize for outstanding contributions in Mathematical Aspects of Information Sciences (1986).
