Prof. Akiko Kasuya (Japan) 29.05.2019

On the occasion of 100 anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Japan, the University of the Arts in Poznan and the City of Poznan invite you to the open lecture given by professor Akiko Kasuya and co-organised by Paweł Pachciarek, entitled "Between aesthetics and critical". The lecture will be held on 29 May 2019, at 5.00 PM in the Atrium of the University of Arts, building B, at 20 23 Lutego Street.

Professor Akiko Kasuya was a curator in the National Art Museum of Osaka (Japan) in 1991 - 2008. At present she works as the professor at the oldest university of art in Japan - Kyoto City University of Art. In 1989 - 1991, she studies aesthetics at the Jagiellonian University of Krakow and received a PhD degree at the Kyoto University. Professor Akiko Kasuyi focuses on Polish art and aesthetic concept based on Ingarden's phenomenology, while her key successes include promotion of the Polish art in Japan.
